Message

Dance Theatre Arts offers a caring coaching environment, where we develop each student's potential to their fullest. We offer all our students the opportunity to take the Royal Academy of Dance Examinations, as well the opportunity to participate in public performances.

Besides our Regular Ballet and Contemporary Dance Programmes we have organised a Summer School during during the June Holidays since 2009....and have many special programs for both children and adults.

All our teachers have received qualifications in dance and education from well known universtities and consevertories, such as the Victorian College of Arts, the University of New South Wales, and Tanya Peason's Classical Coaching academy. They are also registered members with the Royal Academy of Dance, and are current or former professional dancers.

Testimonials

Grace Kam, (Malaysia)
I had a great time at this summer dance program. I'm really glad that I came all the way from Malaysia to Sngapore for this. I've made new friends and met new people. This program has helped me improve my dance technique, posture, expressions, and vocal technique. I loved everything about this program.

Fung Ching Yee,
Although it was tiring, it was really fun and I made many friends. I also learnt many things like techniques and routines I don't learn at jazz class that I take. We laughed a lot.

Luke Ang,
I like everyone, the dance moves, the food and the fun

Zahrah
I made new friends, and new expriences with dance through a different view, and having to apply oil every night before I sleep.

Leandra
It was fun and interesting. I learnt many things and I would like to come again. It was very tiring but I enjoyed myself

Ryan,
The lessons made my life change. I wish there would be a lesson like that again. The instructors were ok to interact with, the students are encouraging. I am going to miss this
one week lesson.

Ashley
I met new friends and improved especially in my ballet. I was inspired by Gwyneth and Melissa as they were working together during classes. It was like a "dancing life" even though it was only for a week. It was very fun especially with all the laughing and playing all the time

Jian Lin (Malaysia)
It was really fun, though really tiring. This is the first time I'm remembering so many dances at once.

Testimonial from Ashley's Dad...

My daughters arrived here in Singapore last April with hopes of a better education, a better life and a better opportunity to continue their dreams of becoming ballerinas someday.

Ballet and dance has been a big part of their everyday life in the Philippines and I don’t plan to halt their passion here in Singapore, so the quest to find a ballet school here in
Singapore began. We first took Ashley my eldest daughter to a renowned dancing school hoping to enroll her there, but we felt we didn’t fit to the system, and it was too generic
that they failed to see what Ashley can really do as a ballet dancer. They just see how old she was and put her in a class where her skills were somehow ahead of the rest of the group.

So we had to look for a school where she can somehow be herself. I was going thru the pages of the ARTS Beat magazine in my workplace, then saw an ad which offers ballet for children and an opportunity to become a part of the children's company. I made the call and the rest was history. I met Gwyneth, and brought Ashley to her. I was so happy that she gave Ashley a chance to show what she can really do. That in itself made me feel that they really assess their students well and give the appropriate assessment. Ashley started to join their classes and she felt very comfortable.

Gwyneth and her sister Melissa are very passionate about their profession and it radiates to the children. That is what my daughter loves, the passion towards dance and it really inspires her to continue dancing and becoming good at it. Now, my second daughter, Keeshia is joining the class and she's so happy to be dancing with them and learning so much. Indeed, we found a home with the Dance Theater Arts
and we found a family with Gwyneth and Melissa.
